BAWS invites you to….

TRANQUIL CHILL - A soothing gathering for sex workers living in wild times. Join us for an afternoon and early evening of sweet healing, relaxation, and support Friday, November 4th, 2022. 

We will gather near the Pergola at Lake Merritt in Oakland, CA. We will have harm-reduction goody bags (Plan B pills, Narcan, fentanyl test strips, safer sex supplies) and other treats available to our beloved brethren. We will provide some supplies for a low-key art project to spark our collective creative flow. We encourage other lovers of artistic expression to bring your tools of creation to add to the mix. 

Our community deserves some softness: Enjoy some offerings of yoga, meditation, and bodyworkers to help with our mission of creating a soothing and uplifting event. Please bring something to sit on and any refreshments you might desire. 

WHEN: Friday, November 4th

WHERE: Lake Merritt, Oakland - by the Pergola on the Embarcadero between Grand ave and Lakeshore Ave.

WHAT TIME? 1 PM- Sunset (6pm)

WHAT IS IT? A soothing kick-back picnic for sex workers to hang out, create art together and decompress. Picnic, tarot, music, uplifting vibes.

ACCESSIBILITY INFO + OTHER DETAILS: 

• This is a sex worker-centered space, but feel free to bring close friends or partners who are allies 

• This is a Famly Friendly event; babies and kids are welcome

• We will also be practicing physical distancing & consent protocols. Always ask first before touching or entering anyone’s  ‘bubble.’
